Questions & Answers

Practical

When should I let you know if I can come?

Please respond via the personal link in your invitation as soon as you can. You can change your answer later using the same link.

Are children welcome?

Children who are named in your invitation are very welcome. When you respond, please let us know if they have any dietary wishes.

What about gifts?

Your presence is the most beautiful gift. If you would still like to give something, a contribution to our honeymoon is very much appreciated.

Travel & stay

How do I get there from Schiphol Airport?

The train from Schiphol to Utrecht Centraal takes about 30 minutes and leaves several times an hour. You can tap in and out with a contactless bank card or your phone (OVpay) — no ticket needed. From Utrecht a taxi, Uber or Bolt to the venue is a short ride.

Can I use a taxi or Uber in the Netherlands?

Yes. Uber and Bolt work in most Dutch cities, and there are taxis at the stations. Book your ride home from the venue in advance, as there may be fewer cars available late in the evening.

Is there parking at the venue?

Yes, there is parking at the venue. If you will be drinking, please leave the car at home or arrange a driver.

Do I need a visa?

Guests from Indonesia (and several other countries) need a Schengen visa for the Netherlands. Apply well in advance — at least 2 to 3 months before travelling. Let us know if you need an invitation letter.

Where can I stay?

There are several hotels in Utrecht, close to the venue. Book early, as May is a busy month. Get in touch if you would like a recommendation.

On the day

Is there a dress code?

Festive and elegant. Part of the day is outside on grass, so comfortable shoes (no thin heels) are a good idea, and bring a jacket for the evening.

What is the weather like in May?

Usually between 12 and 20 °C, with a chance of rain. Bring a jacket or warm layer for the evening and an umbrella, just in case.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

We kindly ask you to keep your phone away during the ceremony, so you can enjoy the moment with us — our photographer will capture it. Afterwards, feel free to take as many photos as you like!
